Practicing Peace 2020
with Jerry and Roberta Silbert
This popular annual program is free and open to all.
Registration is required, as space is limited. A free will offering for Mercy by the Sea is appreciated.
Join us to experience mindfulness practices in the community of other peace seekers.
In our world where hatred, polarization, violence and war lead to much suffering it is ever more important to find ways of cultivating peace, to the best of our abilities and circumstances, in ourselves, our families, our communities, our nation, globally and for the protection of the earth.
This nonsectarian program will present practical tools for practicing peace and ways we can increase our mindfulness, kindness and compassion. Guided practices for mindfulness, meditation, compassion and loving kindness will be introduced. We will share poetry, mindful dialogue, reflections and periods of silence in a safe and sacred setting on the beautiful shore of Long Island Sound. No experience is necessary.
