Contemplative Ways to Being: A Silent Retreat
with Michael Fish, OSB CAM
Come to the water and enter into the quiet and beauty of Mercy by the Sea. We will use poetry, Scripture and story to explore how to live contemplatively in the midst of our hectic world. With a relaxed schedule of two conferences each day together with a quiet, simple Eucharist we'll examine the obstacles to living in balance as well as new forms of encountering the Beloved. This retreat is for those who are thirsting for inner living water.
The retreat begins on Sunday, June 23, and ends on Sunday, June 30.
Michael Fish is a Camaldolese monk, who became motivated to make monasticism and Christian spirituality more available to women and men living and working in the world and making ancient truths and mysteries more accessible to modern seekers. Michael continues to explore solitude and itinerancy as expressions of Camaldolese life and mission. Though living alone, he remains involved with his monastic community, the New Camaldoli Hermitage in Big Sur. This is his first offering of retreat on the East coast.
