with Jerry Silbert
In our world where anger, hatred, polarization and war lead to much suffering, it is ever more important to find ways of cultivating peace — to the best of our abilities and circumstances — in ourselves, our families, our communities, our nation and the world.
This nonsectarian program will present practical tools for practicing peace and ways that we can increase our mindfulness, our kindness and our compassion. Guided practices for mindfulness, meditation, compassion and lovingkindness will be introduced and guided. No experience is necessary. We will share poetry, mindful dialog, periods of silence and reflection.
Practicing Peace will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018, 1-5 p.m. The program is free and open to all. However, registration is necessary as space is limited.
