What the Wisdom of the Cosmic Story Can Teach Us About Aging
with Margaret Galiardi, O.P.
The contemporary scientific understanding of the universe tells us that to be alive is to be awash in an ocean of ceaseless creativity. Scientists call this reality “emergence”; spiritual teachers know it as “inner transformation.” This means that we — who are the universe come to consciousness — are called to engage the aging process in a way which prompts us to exercise greater and greater presence before the gift of life, to love more fully and to respond to the imperative to evolve the universe even as we allow all that is unnecessary to fall away in our personal lives.
Join us as we explore key aspects of the 13.8 billion-year-old unfolding of the universe, which is both sage and mentor to all aging.
The program will be held on Saturday, March 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The $65 fee covers both the program and lunch.
Margaret Galiardi, O.P., lectures and offers workshops, retreats and events on spirituality for the 21st century in general, and ecological spirituality in particular.
