Inner Peace in Divine Love: A Lenten Series
With Lisa Irish
The season of Lent invites us to deepen our prayer, to prepare our hearts for the Paschal Mystery. This five-week series is designed to enliven our relationship with God through scripture, creative prayer and faith-sharing. Participants will receive suggestions for daily meditation, developed by Michael Hansen, SJ in his book The First Spiritual Exercises, and commit to a regular time of private prayer. Then, once a week, the group will come together to process and listen to the stirrings of the Spirit. This will become an extended retreat that co-exists with daily life, while grounding our awareness of God in our midst.
Participants will meet on five Tuesday mornings, 9:30 a.m.–11 a.m., February 20 and 27, March 6, 13 and 20. Cost for the series is $75.
If inclement weather necessitates cancellation of a meeting, these snow dates have been planned: Thursdays, 9:30 a.m.–11 a.m. on February 22, March 1, 8, 15 and 22.
