Beachcombing: A Nature Journaling Retreat
with Jan Blencowe
Gift yourself with time to slow down and stroll on the warm sands, breathe in the scent of the salt air, gaze into tide pools and gather treasures from the sea. Allow your heart to expand and your creativity to gently bubble to the surface as you gather to yourself shells, pebbles, beach glass and drift wood. Each beachcomber's find is a pearl of great price holding within it a message to nourish your soul.
Simple, easy pen and watercolor techniques will be taught. All levels are welcome, no prior art or nature journaling experience is necessary. With plenty of relaxing time to stroll the grounds, walk the labyrinth, and enjoy creating in our spacious meeting room, you will have ample opportunity to engage in joyful drawing, painting and writing. We gather rain or shine, with indoor activities should it be raining.
The program, scheduled for Saturday June 10, from 9:30 a.m.- 3:30 p.m., costs $50.
Participants should bring a sketchbook with 140 lb. watercolor or 100 lb. mixed media paper in it, all other materials will be supplied. For questions about supplies contact Jan at firstname.lastname@example.org
